Jason Solarz is a professional tattoo artist with over 15 years of experience creating custom tattoos. Jason welcomes challenging tattoo requests and is experienced with reworking existing tattoos when needed, or covering them up completely. He enjoys working in color and black-and-grey equally. When he is not creating tattoos he and his wife are busy raising their children.
Originally from the Midwest, Jason grew up road tripping all over North America. A fascination with ecology leads him to explore new environments as often as possible. Wetlands, estuaries, rivers and forests are some of the most inspiring places he gets to spend time. Because of the abundant access to those types of places is exactly the reason why Jason has chosen the Pacific Northwest as his home.
Before learning to tattoo, Jason attended a few colleges studying a wide variety of subjects but focused on the natural sciences, anthropology, and art. He holds an Environmental Design Degree in Architecture and Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota. All the years of drafting by hand and learning to tailor designs for his clients have translated well to the tattoo process.
